About

Get ready to transform your relationship with nature. In this workshop, you'll learn how to work with English ivy (Hedera helix) as an art material. English ivy is a plant with invasive capacities and has the potential to take over large areas of disturbed soil. Even where it grows natively it has to be managed or else it will take down nearly anything in its path. In North America, this plant is still sold in nurseries and marketed in landscaping as a low maintenance decorative plant. Despite its audacity, it is a wonderful plant for creating with. What you'll receive when you sign up: 1. an overview of Ivy: how it came to North America, how to identify it, make art with it, and prompts to get started in your own nature connected arts practice. 2. a demonstration of how Kaitlyn weaves with Ivy. 3. a printable reference book with Ivy identification, and weaving instructions. 4. Lifetime access to the resources, including any updates to the course. The video workshop is 20 minutes long and can be watched as many times as you need. We kept it short and sweet for you so you can learn and apply this knowledge without any fluff. Should you have any questions about the course or the content, you are welcome to contact us with any questions. With gratitude, Kaitlyn
